Vatican Weekend Feature Program for 23 December 2017
"No Crib for a Bed" is the title of our traditional Christmas play written and produced by Jill Bevilacqua. The play is set near the town of Grecio in central Italy where St. Francis of Assisi created a special Nativity scene using live animals on a hillside in what was believed to be the first ever of its kind.

We present our traditional Christmas Play that takes us back to the year 1223 when St. Francis of Assisi set up a special crib with live animals on a hillside near the town of Grecio in central Italy. The play was written and produced by Jill Bevilacqua.
